I continue to be amazed at how everyone is adapting Guiding to suit the conditions (as we always have!) and I am very excited to be attending the Virtual Great Guide Sleepover this weekend and will see many of you there! Thanks to all who have been active in making sure that the girls have been able to join in. BRAVOOO!
No doubt there will be lots of piccies taken so please remember to make sure they are added in to the Centenary Website so we can all be connected in one way or another and be a part of Guiding in action across NSW, ACT and NT.
Stay Connected with these FREE Online Events
Lark in the Park, 26 September, and Regatta, 24 October, are fast approaching. Please take a look and encourage your girls to register before the upcoming closing dates. These events will be fantastic, as always, just delivered a little differently. I for one can't wait to be a part of them.
Training Updates
You may have heard that Leader Qualification training has gone on line. The trainers have been fantastic in making sure we have been able to continue to ensure new Leaders have access to the usual high quality of training so those Leaders are able to understand the AGP and their role in delivering Guiding. The next one on September 13th is 'sold out' but if you have not been able to attend yet, don't worry there will be 3 more dates before the end of the year, to be advertised soon!
If you have been looking for training for Managers, we are now looking at how we can provide access to that in our new virtual world, and very soon we will be able to announce this as well.
Member Recruitment
Did you have a chance to look at the brand new recruitment tools that were launched last week? So many of you did, but if you haven't yet glimpsed these wonderful resources that cover such a wide array of communications then click here!
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, social isolation, physical distancing, illness and everything that is going on can be a difficult time. Please remember to continue to look after yourselves, and each other, and reach out to your District Manager or Region Manager if you are struggling with anything. I recommend having a read of these psychological tips for getting through these times.
As always, take care.
Yours In Guiding,
Sarah Neill
