Maximising Recruitment Efforts: Read This! |
Recruitment: Where to Start! |
|
|
As we head towards a new year of Guiding, we know you’ve got recruitment on your mind.
Term 1 is a busy time for us all – especially Leaders! To assist all Members and Volunteers with filling Units, recruiting volunteers, and growing widespread community awareness, our Term 1 2024 recruitment campaign: Your 2024 Story is a resource to be used – as much as you need it!
Tap below to access all the marketing material you need to participate in the campaign. Download social media graphics, captions, flyers, brochures (and MORE!) to optimise your recruitment and awareness efforts in Term 1 2024.
Much like previous campaigns, all materials will be stored in a shared folder for all Adult Members of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT to access using their Girl Guide 0365 account. The folder is ordered by material type and contains loads of resources to help boost your recruitment efforts. |

Appoint a 'Social Media Guru' |
A big portion of the campaign is social media. To save time and boost efficiency, we recommend appointing a 'social media guru' to take care of your social media posts for the campaign. This would include downloading the images and captions, scheduling via Facebook, responding to messages and general social media management.
Many Units, Districts and Regions already have social media administrators. You could also ask an Olave or a keen Youth Member to take the lead on socials. |

Community Awareness |
More communication to help you prepare for a wonderful recruitment drive will follow. We know that community awareness is a valuable element in any marketing campaign. It's recommended that all Units, Districts and Regions take stock of what their broader awareness efforts are, and what can be maximised or refreshed. You could consider: |
|
- Refreshing the posters in your Hall
- Coordinating radio advertising using our Girl Guides Radio Advertisement
- Equipping Halls with promotional flyers and brochures
- Having the right promotional materials for fetes, market stalls, BBQs, events etc.
- Coordinating cinema or television advertising using our 15 second advert |
|
In addition to social media and the broader awareness efforts captured above, Guide House will run an email campaign to engage new contacts and individuals, and even re-engage past ones. If you would like to subscribe to the mailing list to receive these promotional emails, please subscribe below. |
